Great, now we're "those" people...

Well, shortly following the conclusion of my previous post, this one begins. After the security personnel giving us a couple weird looks for going through at 2:00am, we decided we should settle down and find a place to sleep for a couple of hours before our 5:05am flight. Needless to say, it didn't take much for us to fall asleep. We were only slightly ashamed because we were now "those people" who took up entire rows of seats sleeping at the airport. Lorna was kind enought to take a photo of Annie, Ofelia, and I in our slumber.

Waking up a couple hours later was hard, and we were very surprised to learn that I guess the only time anyone in Peru is actually on time is at the airport... Our gate was overloaded with people! There wasn't a seat in sight. Well even though the whole plane was on time, boarding was not. Again, a long waiting period, but we finally boarded the plane. We we're distributed some interesting snacks including some salty items resembling a roasted pumpkin seed. After the quick flight to Cusco we disembarked the plane and claimed our luggage. The best part was that we finally got to get rid of the box holding our set of bells we had been lugging around, however, it did take a couple of us in the crowded airport to figure out how to get it open.

We met with our airport transportation and left for the Hotel. Unfortunately, at 8:00 in the morning only one of our rooms was ready, but nobody had to ask me twice if I would like to lay down in one of the beds to take a nap.

Thus,

The days adventures of Ben Beyond the Bubble
